SoBo Rising

SoBo Rising, Inc.

SoBo Rising seeks to help South Boulder, CO regain a sense of control and identity after the King Soopers tragedy that shocked our community in March 2021. We are accomplishing this by organizing and supporting community events that promote healing and reconnection in our neighborhoods. We believe these events can catalyze recurring celebrations of the indomitable spirit of South Boulder.

SoBo Rising is non-profit corporation registered with the state of Colorado, EIN #87-1603201. Our board members are listed below.

Chris DiGiano, Ph.D.

President & Chairman of the Board

Chris founded SoBo Rising in April, 2021 with the encouragement and support of neighbors. He's lived in North Boulder, Central Boulder, and for the last twenty years in SoBo where he and his wife have raised two teenage daughters. They love how the kids have been able to walk to K-12 schooling and how the trails are just a hop-skip away. In the winter you'll find Chris telemark skiing every weekend at the resorts and in the backcountry. Weekdays, Chris is an Engineering Manager for the self-driving car company, Aurora. You can follow his musings on technology and society on Twitter at @justdigi.
